4) Why, the challenges of wildfires and forest expansion?

It is now becoming clear, that having carbon footprint reduction programs are no longer enough to restore the excessive atmospheric carbon that has accumulated over the years of industrialization.

Plants and forests are the key link through photosynthesis for the reduction of carbon and years of industrial environmental destruction.

The systematic deforestation and increased wildfires both from an environmental and economic perspective have to be reversed.

In short we need to expand the carbon footprint reduction programs of companies to be linked directly to forest expansion and the curbing of excessive wildfires.

At the same time, we need to build not just public awareness about wildfires and the need for forest expansion; but also build a culture and behavior of environmental development and sustainable human habitat integration with nature.

5) The Firefly Innovations’ objectives

• A third objective is to enhance wildfire containment and suppression. With the specific objective to increase the efficiency of containment and suppression, plus to minimize the costs thereof and to:-
• Reverse the current trend of growing containment and suppression costs and to;
• Redirect, the saving so achieved of financial resources via improved containment and suppression, to the acceleration of sustainable forestry use an expansion programs.

It is believed that under the program over the next five years, savings of more than five billion U.S. dollars can be achieved.

In full support of the current initiative by the U.S. Department Of Agriculture, to establish a separate wildfire catastrophe funding mechanism.
