It became apparent that there are definitely certain options one could develop that will substantially improve the containment and suppression of wildfires.<\/p>\n<p>Also, across the board nearly all other fire services such as airports, high-rise buildings and industrial such as chemicals are busy to undergo substantial new developments with regards to fire fighting options. The one lagging behind is wildfires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The decisive question:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Can new wildfire containment and suppression options &amp; equipment result in substantial reductions in the destruction of wildfires and follow on mudslides.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Firefly Innovations conclusion is, YES.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The key aspects we believe are the following.:-<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>With an\u00a0<strong><u>assertive effort<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0and drive; and<\/li>\n<li>With\u00a0<strong><u>equipment<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<strong><u>methods<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0that can\u00a0<strong><u>match the challenge<\/u><\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Within the 8 point attack framework\n<ul>\n<li>Improved wildfire;- 1) prevention, 2) speed of detection, 3) deployment of assets, 4) management &amp; attack coordination support 5) containment and suppression operational efficiency, with 6) equipment equal to the challenge and 7) prevention of mudslides &amp; rehabilitation 8) affordable funding frameworks..<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Taking into account<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0the extreme challenges of wildfires such as, high winds, air born ember, availability of scarce resources such as water, the difficulty of access, ruggedness of the terrain and specific challenges such as in mountain areas where the slope gradient and forest access are critical factors in terms of the speed of spreading of wildfires.<\/li>\n<li><strong><u>And ground level factors<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0such as fire fuel, loss prevention, forestry management and the policy of \u201cLet burn\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The \u201cHead-on\u201d initiative is therefore specifically designed within the ambit of this framework and in the belief that success can be achieved to cut wildfire destruction be up to 80%.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>The overriding factors, an assertive drive and collaboration across fires-services, communities, suppliers and government.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;][et_pb_divider admin_label=&#8221;Divider&#8221;
